The Impostor

Description

Play with friends on WhatsApp and try to find out who the impostor is: everyone receives a category and a secret word, except one person who must blend in without being discovered.

Each player says a related word on their turn. The group watches, suspects and decides when to move to voting. If they find the impostor, the players win; if they get it wrong or the impostor manages to confuse them, the impostor wins.

Rules and mechanics

• The Guide creates the room, invites players and can choose a category. If no category is chosen, the bot selects one at random.
• When the game starts, the bot chooses an impostor. The other players receive the secret word; the impostor only knows the category.
• Turns are played in random order. Each player must send a related word without revealing too much.
• After at least one full round, players can request a vote. If enough players accept, everyone votes for who they think the impostor is.
• If the vote ends in a tie, there is a second vote among the tied players. If it ties again, the impostor wins.
