Mafia

Description

Mafia is a social deduction game for groups of 5 to 20 people. The guide creates the room and also plays. When the match starts, Wappons privately assigns the Mafia, Doctor, Investigator and Town roles without publicly revealing who is who.

The match alternates between night and day. Special roles act privately at night; during the day the result is announced, a debate opens and players then vote. Eliminated players continue to receive public messages but can no longer act or vote. The town wins by eliminating every mafia member; the mafia wins when it equals or outnumbers the other living players.

Rules and mechanics

• The guide creates the room, shares its code and also takes part as a player. A match can start with 5 to 20 participants.
• Wappons assigns secret roles: Mafia, Doctor, Investigator and Town. The number of mafia members increases with the size of the group.
• Each night lasts up to 120 seconds. The mafia selects a victim, the Doctor may protect one person and the Investigator may investigate a player. Town members have no night action.
• After the night, daytime begins: the outcome is announced and a debate of up to 120 seconds opens.
• Voting follows, also with up to 120 seconds. A tie triggers a runoff among the leading candidates; if the runoff is tied again, nobody is eliminated.
• The main actions are presented as buttons when appropriate, so players do not need to memorize every command.
